Damn, this should have been one of the routine wins. Ok so with this development, more likely will have to win the P12 for sure to get in. Good news is, that the rest of the P12 is still so bad it's not an impossible task. Unless everyone is just excited to be in the NIT here?

Sadly Punxsutawney Benny saw his shadow last night.

True, but I didn't feel his posts last night were off the mark. And I'll go a step further than that....he was actually semi-constructive/positive afterwards.....perhaps another facet to PCM we haven't seen. I know he had a brighter outlook than I did anyhow, haha Things went south for the team when we got an unusually positive and constructive pcm yesterday. Bring back the old pcm!!

In all seriousness now however, last night's game was very disheartening to me. The road trip got my hopes and expectations up for the rest of the season, and this was a game I really did think we would win fairly comfortably. I don't see any reason why this team shouldn't be able to take advantage of a weaker Pac-12 and secure a top 2-3 finish, yet for whatever reason this team just can't seem to find the consistency necessary to do so when given that chance.
Stanford was better than I expected, and they have always been a match-up issue for us similar to USC in recent years. Couple that with the fact that they shot the lights out in the 1st half and we had our coldest shooting night of the season and it was a recipe for disaster. Hopefully they can flush it and come out firing against Cal and uo, but back to back home games where we've been blown out is not a good sign.
It's funny, we have played arguably a tougher road schedule so far in conference play than at home outside of the UW game, and the records are identical at 3-2. I think the best 2 games these guys have played all season (@uo, @utah) were both on the road as well. Not sure what's up with the team at home but the 4 losses, Kent State, UW, Stanford, and A&M (Portland but essentially a home game) were games where they just simply got outplayed from the start.
The only thing I've been able to figure out about this team is that I know next to nothing about what they're going to look like on any given night.

Flush the toilet and move along. Whoosh!! Appropriate thing to do. File and forget.
