Tanner Miller 6'2" 295 OG/C from Valencia High School in California. Hudl does list he can bench 355 lbs., so the kid is strong!
Kade Hustler 6'3" 245 SDE from Southridge High School in Beaverton. Maybe some of you locals can give some info on him?

Our team is going to look completely different next season. I like that many of the walk-ons are OL/DL types, seems like walkons from those groups develop better and pan out more often that from other position groups. We've had a lot of players like that develop into starters.

Yes, it seems like the coaches are really working on the trenches. If you are going to flip a coin on a developmental player, it seems logical to do it on young lineman who are still growing into their bodies.

I think it's easier to find an OL/DL who may be a little weak or undersized but can put on weight and get strong enough to be a contributor. If you're a walk-on RB who runs a 4.9 forty ... you can't teach speed. I think most guys who are big enough and fast enough to be a WR, RB, CB, etc in D-I football probably have scholarship options elsewhere. At least, that's ONE part of the equation.

I'm liking these PWO and all of these lineman and TE/OLB types. We need bodies! And kids with big frames and a work ethic have all kinds of potential. Maybe they are only called on if a starter is injured, but we know that happens.
So exciting to see that kids want to be apart of this program... I'm feeling the momentum building quickly.
Still hoping for a couple of Power 5 recruits landing scholarships in this last week. But the coaches have won my vote of confidence in rebuilding a culture and making this team look so much different/deeper than last year.
Fingers Crossed we have some more announcements next week!
