No mental fortitude and the altitude will get them. Luckily the WSU game is at the end of the year as there won't be anyone there. No home court for the Cougs otherwise we could easily drop that one.

I'll say 7-11 in conference and 15-15 overall. Hope I'm wrong. Agreed, on all counts I predicted 7-11 earlier. I'm going to bump it up to 8-10, with wins @cu, Stan, Cal and @wsu. The rest are losses.
Hope I am wrong, but I haven't seen anything that says that we can beat good teams and it gets even worse on the road. End at a 16-14 record regular season, no more than 1 win in the Pac 12 tourney unless we get a really favorable matchup.

Looked to me the over/under was 9.5 conference wins. We sit at 6-3 and everyone's predictions are still in play. I'm concerned we have not developed our young players enough to make a run in the second half. Not enough team work. Relying on one of the three sons to get hot to save the day.

He can't let himself get too happy. George Washington was just an average president, you know.

Looks like I underestimated the coaching staff as this team showed on the road trip. I see 4 more wins, Stan, Cal, ASU/UA, and WSU. If we can beat UO and steal a LA road win, we can finish top 4. Having that first round bye is huge as we aren't deep enough to win 4 in a row.
Those losses to T&M, Mizzou, and Kent St, sure do hurt right now. Maybe one and we're a bubble team.
Speaking of depth, why no Washington today?

Probably because Kelley showed up to play, and was fresh having played so little on Thursday. Washington is the No. 3 option.

He can't let himself get too happy. George Washington was just an average president, you know. First, I picked the Beavs to win 13 in conference. I'm an optimist. But I'm also concerned about the lack of leadership and teamwork. WT's inability to make the talent on this team, given the down year in conference, a championship contender is frustrating. Second, the adulation and hero worship associated with Washington and many others of his time are based more on circumstance than exceptional traits. But we love heroes, are proud of our country, so me make these folks into something they were not - and in the process sell a lot of books, movie and theater tickets. This is an important concept to grasp, because it allows us to look objectively at our founding documents and consider changes for the good of our current society. They were not all geniuses. In today's population I doubt any would rise to a leadership position of national significance. But I do love the cherry tree story.

In today's population I doubt any would rise to a leadership position of national significance. But I do love the cherry tree story. I think a man as brilliant as Thomas Jefferson, as well-written as James Madison, as intelligent as Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton or John Adams, or with leadership skills like George Washington would be nationally significant in any era. To say otherwise, considering what they accomplished with their revolutionary ideas in successfully starting a nation from scratch, is short-sighted at best. It's easy to engage in "presentism" and judge 18th-century men by 21st-century standards. Were they perfect? No. Did some own slaves? Yes. But for their time, they were truly far, far ahead of the curve and left us with a great blueprint that enabled the country to evolve as the norms of society changed over the next 250 years. And you can blame someone else for the cherry tree and silver dollar across the Potomac stories, GW never made any claims of the sort.

I threw a rock across the Missouri. Of course I was in Montana at the headwaters where the Jefferson, Madison, and Gallatin come together. In the middle of summer, they are just four streams. Looks like prediction of 7 totally sucks.
