I'm calling it 9-11 wins, but every team in the league is quite beatable this year. Nobody will run the table, probably not even close, 3 losses should win the league in regular season play. League playoffs will be wide open.

7 wins and I'm feeling generous. 9 is the very high ceiling. Inconsistent offense and lack of commitment to D will kill this team.

Get to playing team ball & d, could win 12+. I honestly feel this team has the talent to be top 3 in the Pac-12, but fear it will go unrecognized due to how they play.

Oregon, SC, UCLA and both Arizona schools plus Colorado have as much or more talent....now what they can do with it is the question. If the Beavs can find a couple of road wins 11/12 is a possibility if we can hold up at home.....let the games began.

Should also have 1 maybe no losses based on talent but the coaching is bad enough to bring us down. Don't see it getting any better in conference play. I really hope I'm wrong.

Pac12 is down, but not as "down" as OSU's OOC schedule.
OSU has ZERO wins vs a current TOP 100... Pac12 has 6 other teams in the TOP 100... OSU plays 11 games (Buffs once on the road) vs current TOP 100.
Even though ranking are great predictors they do show evidence of play vs opponent level. For OSU to win 10, 11, 12 Pac12 games they would basically have to become a different team and win ALL 7 vs non Top 100 and 3-5 of 11 vs TOP 100.
I can see "some" upsets... can also see stumbles on the road (pretty much program history for some time, definitely lately)... can't for the life of me see more than 10 Ws at best...

I have seen very little from the team members or coaches to make me think we will suddenly up our basketball IQ just because the Pac-12 season has begun. And the Pac-12 might be down, but not to the level of most of these teams we have played in the OOC season. I suspect we will have a few of the "blind squirrel finding nut" games to remind us of the talent and potential of this team, but for the most part, I don't see anything going on to make me think we will be better than .500 in league play. I truly hope I am back here posting in March that I was completely proven wrong by the team, mind you, but I am trying to remain realistic. I have been trying to watch for on-court leadership, and that is where I think this team is most lacking........I am looking for that player gathering the team to huddle up after a foul, or when they take to the court, or after timeouts.....and not seeing it. One thing SR WBB teams have been able to do is grow leaders (e.g. Marie Gulich - definitely not the leader day 1) which has helped define the team character on the court and carry forward the team philosophy and accountability from game to game, season to season. Leadership, not talent, is in short supply on the men's team. Go Beavers!

Well the Beavs have a good shot at getting out of the gate quick. With Bol (assuming he'll still be out), Wooten and Kigab (announced he's transferring) out, their frontline is pretty thin. UCLA obviously is having its troubles, and Jordan Usher, who was averaging about 25 mpg, recently announced he was leaving USC, which with Porter still out thins them out a bit too.

13-5 in conference 1-1 in Pac 12 Tournament 22-10 overall Average home game attendance 4,800 NIT Bid/NCAA Bubble WT keeps his job Not sure about winning 8 conference games in a row. Put on your orange tinted glasses to continue..... L @oregon W USC W UCLA L @asu L @ua W WSU W UW L @col W @utah W Stanford W Cal W Oregon W @ucla W @usc W UA W ASU L @uw W @wsu I wish I could agree on the road wins. Unfortunately that is something I have not seen improvement in. I'd cut those road victories in half and call it a 10 win conference year. I hope. It makes the OCC losses to A&M and Kent State that much more infuriating. 18 wins is enough to keep everybody around, but probably not even enough to make the NIT with our SOS. Lets hope I get to eat my words. I hate being negative about a team unless I feel I have real good reason to be so... But I have seen the same ol s%#t with a team that has a very strong upper classman core. It should be that way.

Undefeated at home, win 4 on the road; 13-5. 21-9 going into P12 tourney; runner-up in the tourney. Go to NCAAs; two and done...
P12 is completely up for grabs this year and it's too bad we are not in a position to dominate...

Here’s hoping for a top 3 conference finish and a ticket to the big dance.
