Well gee, that's some great insight there. The ucks just suffered an embarrassing home loss - and you're trying to wash it away because they were picked to win the PAC-12. Yes, that certainly negates a killer RPI defeat. How did I miss that? I wonder how our being picked to finish 10th will effect our RPI - any insight to add there? Good grief. Nice reply to the guy that ' in his head' is always right. You proved he is the moron that he is.....

The headline if blOcheese and baseba1111 were running the sports page: "Ducks lose. OSU coaches at fault."

Call the lame post that completely missed the meaning of my post "proof". A disgrace to the "model"... Carroll would be pissed! PS- dude I've heard all the intelligent insults before. I've been corrected by more knowledgeable. Your grade school name calling is very cute, but heard it before. Just to name my favs that I was considered "wrong" or crazy or way of base... some for a couple years - when I relayed info on GAG right after his hire from a large donor and group of fans from Wisky that happened to vaca info same Honduran resort of all places... - when I accidentally stayed in the team hotel, spoke to players who shared insights on moral issues - when I spoke out on how 3M was being mistreated from the day he was inserted cold at the 3 yd line and a screen called - when I mentioned 3M was considering transferring I don't think in ALWAYS right, I'm more likely to take the pragmatic view. But, I do have educated insights and know people who do know quite a lot about coaching, scouting, OSU and other schools. And, of course don't "suffer fools" well. But, thx for posting. All sides welcome. It's what this board... and this country are supposed to be about. 🍻

No, BlO, I have a beef with you because all you do is piss on everything orange. You and baseba1111 don't analyze, you criticize - and that schtick gets really tiresome.

Ha... then you don't well, read sufficient posts, or both. I don't need to defend bl0 or myself, but since you like singling outhters that don't fit you posting style I'll say, in reading bl0 I see more sarcastic posts than absolute criticisms... and plenty of positives. Speaking for me, I do not keep "score", but I offer both sides based on what I see, find, know, learn. "Orange"... fans come here, pretty sure he and I are both fans, otherwise we are both the wordiest and most successful trolls in the history of message boards. "Pissing on" is YOUR (maybe others) judgmental stereotype as discussions offer both sides, not just the rosy orange goggled version. And, in terms of fan boards in general, fans come here to share insights and opinions. Often critical, and some of frustration. You seem to think that your judgment (or others) is the gold standard. Hint... it is not. And, when a hoops program has been languishing for a time fans will be divided on whether they are seeing progress. But, it is a discussion. You are certainly welcome to join, but he/others do not have to post to please you and your "schtick". Other than that... you must get "tired" very easy

Thanks for posting this.... I don't begrudge the number of 3 pointers, what irks me is when our senior uncorks one or two of them on the run 3 seconds into the shot clock.......those "we can get *that* shot at any point in the possession, and ideally when the shot clock has run down and we have exhausted higher percentage options" sort of shots. No one can argue he also on occasion makes some of those "heat check" variety attempts, but I am not so sure he makes enough to justify the number......one could also say if we have the rebounding advantage under the basket, maybe it is a good thing to fling one up there and go get the rebound I guess. Good to see that we are trending in good directions statistically speaking! Go Beavers!

Comparing nonconference stats with other Pac-12 teams at this time makes no sense. I know the AD does this but it’s misleading. We are playing vastly different teams. Our schedule so far is against teams that would finish in the bottom third of our conference. I’d wait until we play half of the conference schedule before making comparisons with our conference foes.

Sure... like OOC stats mean anything! But, it could be we have played one of the easiest schedules so far? OSU is one of only two in Pac12 (WSU was the other... have not looked lately) that has not played a Top 25/Top 50/Top 100 rated team. Yet with the Pac12 best scoring D and schedule rated in the 200's (222-250 depending on site), only 6th in scoring margin at +8.3 (#116 overall)... and 10th in scoring offense at 71.3 (257th overall). Although Michigan (watched vs NC and they are VERY good again) scores only 70.8 (#270)... HOWEVER... a +22.5 scoring margin with #1 scoring D at 48.3. I've never really worried about the D as much as the inconsistent randomness of WT's offense, especially since GPII left.

According to Ken Pomeroy, Oregon State has played the sixth-hardest schedule in the Pac-12.
